Walking along Monte CengioAn Infinity of Walking Opportunities
The Altopiano of Asiago is perfect for walking because it is the largest plateau in the Alps with an infinity of walking possibilities. The long and rich history of the Altopiano also means there are many different themes and special interests to choose from including local food. This image shows Monte Cengio one of the most striking locations on the south side looking over the Po Valley 800 metres below. This is an eco-war museum that during World War One featured one of the most dramatic moments in the First World War – ‘Il Salto dei Granatieri’.
